What is the Hotchkiss application deadline?
The application deadline is January 15, 2027. The financial aid application deadline for new applicants is January 15, 2027.
Is standardized testing required?
Standardized testing is required for all applicants, and the accepted tests depend on the grade applied to. Applicants to grades 9 and 10 submit the SSAT or ISEE.
Which tests does Hotchkiss accept?
Applicants to grades 9 and 10 submit the SSAT or ISEE. Applicants to grade 11 submit the SSAT, PSAT, SAT or ISEE. Applicants to grade 12 or the postgraduate year submit the SAT, ACT or PSAT.
Is there an interview?
An interview is a step on the application checklist. Families can book a campus tour with an interview, a virtual interview, or a campus tour only. Interviews run from mid-September through mid-January, with none during Thanksgiving or Winter Break.
How much is Hotchkiss tuition?
Boarding tuition for 2026-27 is $79,350. Day tuition for 2026-27 is $67,450. Fees add a $850 technology fee and a health services fee of $600 for boarders or $400 for day students.
How does financial aid work?
Aid awards are based solely on a family's demonstrated financial need. Awards meet 100 percent of demonstrated need and are grants with no loans. Families apply through the Clarity Tuition platform.
Do day students exist at Hotchkiss?
Boarding school that also enrolls day students 96 percent of students live in a dorm.
When do families hear back?
Admission decisions are available online and mailed on March 10, 2027. The student reply deadline is April 10, 2027.
